Miss France 2011, Laury Thilleman a fait bonne figure puisqu'elle s'est hissée dans le top 10 de ce prestigieux concours de beauté. Malgré un magnifique défilé en bikini puis en robe du soir, ce n'était pas suffisant pour convaincre le jury de l'élection pour lui donner un ticket vers le podium de Miss Univers 2011.

Ainsi, c'est finalement Miss Angola qui remporte pour la première fois pour son pays le diadème de Miss Univers 2011. Leila Lopes, c'est son nom, 25 ans, est une jolie plante de 1,79m. Son portrait vidéo avait fait parler d'elle puisqu'elle y évoquait les avantages des femmes par rapport aux hommes, et que ces dernières pouvaient bien plus de choses que ces messieurs comme "rester à la maison, s'occuper des enfants, laver le linge, cuisiner...".

Cette magnifique jeune femme s'est particulièrement bien débrouillé lors de la question posée par le jury où elle a fait forte impression en répondant néanmoins en portugais, sa langue natale. Mais c'est sans doute grâce à cette prestation que Leila Lopes a fait la différence. Etudiante en Grande Bretagne (en business management), elle va porter désormais pendant 1 an les couleurs de la prestigieuse organisation de Donald Trump.
